Track 7: Born Again, Named Anew

“Born Again, Named Anew” is a deeply personal reflection on the transformative power of salvation. Drawing from John 3:3, where Yeshua tells Nicodemus, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God,” this song celebrates the spiritual rebirth that occurs when we surrender our lives to God. It speaks to the moment when we are not only forgiven but also given a new identity in Yeshua—a name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life (Revelation 21:27).

The orchestral arrangement begins with gentle oboe and soft strings, symbolizing the tender beginnings of new life in Christ. As the song progresses, swelling strings and orchestral crescendos reflect the growth and transformation that occur as we walk in our new identity. The chorus is a powerful declaration of being made new, while the bridge emphasizes the journey from death to life, from old to new.

This track speaks to the heart of every believer who has experienced the life-changing grace of God. It reminds us that being born again isn’t just about a moment of decision—it’s about stepping into a new life, a new name, and a new purpose. The song invites listeners to embrace their identity in Christ fully, leaving behind the past and walking boldly in the future God has prepared. “Born Again, Named Anew” is a celebration of redemption, transformation, and the unshakable truth that in Yeshua, we are made new.

2 Corinthians 5:17

A New Creation in Messiah

2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Messiah, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” When we come to faith in Yeshua, we are not just improved versions of our old selves—we are entirely new creations. This transformation isn’t just spiritual but also deeply personal, as God gives us a new identity, a new purpose, and a new name written in the Book of Life.

Scripture References

  • John 3:3: “Yeshua answered him, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.’”
  • Ezekiel 36:26: “And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”
  • Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Messiah. It is no longer I who live, but Messiah who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
  • Revelation 3:5: “The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.”

These scriptures highlight the depth of transformation that occurs when we surrender our lives to Yeshua. It’s not just about turning over a new leaf—it’s about being completely reborn through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Reflection

Are you living as a new creation in Yeshua, or are you still holding onto the old self? Many believers struggle to fully embrace their new identity, often reverting to old habits or mindsets. Reflect on the areas in your life where God is calling you to let go of the past. What old labels or behaviors do you need to release in order to fully walk in the newness of life He offers?

Prayer

Father, thank You for making me a new creation in Yeshua. Help me to let go of the old self and fully embrace the new life You have given me. Transform my heart, my mind, and my actions to reflect Your love and truth. Teach me to walk in the freedom and purpose of my new identity, knowing that I am Yours, named and redeemed. In Yeshua’s name, Amen.

The old is gone, the new has come,
In You, Yeshua, we are one.
From death to life, from dark to light,
You give us hope, You give us sight.

We are born again, named anew,
Ruach HaKodesh breathes us through.
Our hearts restored, our lives made whole,
In You alone, we find our soul.

We repent, our hearts made clean,
Washed by grace, redeemed within.
No longer bound by guilt or shame,
We walk in freedom, in Your name.

Ruach HaKodesh breathes us through.
Our hearts restored, our lives made whole,
In You alone, we find our soul.

In Yeshua’s name again.
