Yeshua looked upon the crowds and was moved with compassion, for they were like sheep without a shepherd. In this module, we learn to reflect that same heart—a heart that sees, feels, and responds. The compassionate shepherd does not lead with force but with tenderness, drawing near to those who are weak, weary, and wandering. Like Isaiah’s image of the shepherd carrying lambs close to his chest, we are called to hold others in love, especially the vulnerable. Scripture teaches us to clothe ourselves in mercy, kindness, humility, and patience—this is the character of Christ. As leaders, we guide willingly, not under compulsion, and not as rulers, but as examples. We comfort with His rod and staff, offering peace even in the valley of shadows.
