5 Nexus Court
It was a pleasure to work with the team at Katz Architecture to produce their 5 Nexus Court project.
Positioned beside the dynamic facade of 3 Nexus Ct (also designed by Katz Architecture), the solution for 5 Nexus responds boldly and animatedly.
A staggered abstract arrangement of glass and coloured panels provides a playful façade of intrigue and delight. The upper tenancy levels exceed planning guidelines to provide maximum lettable area, made feasible with the recessed lower level that therefore provides articulation and enables the bulk of the building to float.
A top-level roof deck introduces valuable outdoor space, satisfying the requirements of the new Child Care Centre. It also provides a unique cap to signify the special social function that this building provides.
Seen as the social hub of the campus, this development is comprised of a broad range of functions including:
- Two levels of commercial office spaces
- Gymnasium
- Childcare centre for 96 children
- Outdoor roof top deck play space
- Carparking and retail
