About This Song
Anchored by Hebrews 11:1 and Mark 11:22–24, “Faith” celebrates that supernatural spark enabling believers to trust God beyond the limits of human logic. This track highlights Jehovah Emunah—“The Lord is Faithful”—reminding us that the bedrock of our faith is God’s unchanging character.
Musically, “Faith” carries an anthemic pulse. The verses address our struggle with doubt and the countless voices that fuel our fears. Then, the chorus shifts into a bold declaration that God’s promises stand firm, no matter how daunting the obstacles appear. The gentle crescendo transitions into a powerful refrain, mirroring the growing conviction that with God, all things are possible.
In the second verse, we repent of unbelief and re-center ourselves on the One who never fails. Faith is more than optimism; it’s a divine assurance rooted in the revealed nature of God. The bridge becomes a collective rally cry for the global Church, urging believers to rise up in unity and manifest the kind of faith that moves mountains. This movement from personal devotion to corporate intercession underscores the communal dimension of faith—we’re called not just to believe for ourselves but to lift up entire communities and nations.
By the final chorus, listeners are invited to take a leap of faith in their own circumstances, trusting that Jehovah Emunah will meet them there. Whether it’s a personal struggle, a family crisis, or a broader vision for societal transformation, God remains faithful to complete the work He has started.
Worship Devotion
Devotional: Faith – Standing on the Rock of His Promise
“Jehovah Emunah, our steady ground, in every trial, Your hope is found.” With every verse and chorus of the worship song Faith, we are drawn into a place of both surrender and strength—a holy invitation to rise above fear and stand firm on the faithfulness of God.
Faith isn’t wishful thinking or emotional positivity. True faith, as Hebrews 11:1 declares, is “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” It’s a Spirit-empowered assurance, deeply rooted in the unchanging character of Jehovah Emunah—The Lord Who Is Faithful.
In our lives, mountains will loom—diagnoses, disappointments, unanswered prayers, and impossible circumstances. Fear has a way of clouding vision, dimming the light of faith. Yet, the first verse of the song teaches us where to turn: “When mountains loom before my sight, and fear would darken faith’s pure light, Jehovah Emunah, hear my call, I trust Your hand can conquer all.” Here, faith is not a blind leap—it’s a confident call to a faithful God whose hands are never shaken by what we face.
Romans 4:20–21 speaks of Abraham’s unwavering belief: “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief… being fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able also to perform.” Abraham didn’t ignore his circumstances—he looked at them through the lens of God’s promise. That is the faith we are invited into.
The second verse of the song confesses our human frailty: “So many doubts can shake our core, but grace invites us to trust You more.” How freeing to know that God doesn’t reject us in our doubts—He meets us there with grace. Faith doesn’t require perfection; it requires surrender. Isaiah 26:3–4 assures us, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee… in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.”
As the music swells into the bridge—“We rise as one, proclaim Your might, though storms rage on, Your Word is light”—we see faith shift from personal struggle to communal strength. This is the heartbeat of spiritual revival: when believers gather not around fear, but around faith. When we speak the Word of God boldly and agree in prayer, we become a people who carry breakthrough—not just for ourselves, but for our families, cities, and nations.
Faith is not just for the private heart—it is a light for the world. 2 Corinthians 5:7 reminds us that “we walk by faith, not by sight.” To walk by faith is to live each day trusting in what God has said, even when we cannot yet see the outcome.
In the final moments of the song, we are invited to declare, “We walk by faith and not by sight, led by Your everlasting light.” That is our commissioning. To take every step anchored in His character. To speak truth when the world speaks fear. To believe, pray, and act in full assurance that our God is faithful.
Reflection Questions:
-
What areas of your life feel clouded by fear or uncertainty right now?
-
How can you shift your gaze from the mountain to the God who moves mountains?
-
Is there a promise from God that you’ve grown weary of waiting for? What would it look like to renew your trust in Him today?
-
How can you lift someone else’s faith—through prayer, encouragement, or prophetic intercession?
Prayer:
Jehovah Emunah, You are the God who is always faithful. When fear surrounds me and doubts threaten to shake me, remind me that You are my steady ground. Anchor me in Your Word. Strengthen my heart to believe—not because I see the outcome, but because I know the One who promised. Teach me to walk by faith and not by sight. Let my faith be a light to others, and may Your Spirit move through me to bring hope, courage, and breakthrough. I trust You, Lord—through every storm, every silence, and every season. Amen.

Sermon: Faith That Endures – Standing Firm in Jehovah Emunah
Texts: Hebrews 11:1; Romans 4:20–21; Isaiah 26:3–4; 2 Corinthians 5:7; Psalm 46:1
Introduction:
Church, today we gather around a message that echoes through the halls of heaven and the cries of every believer walking through the winds and waves of life: Faith. This is more than an idea or a feeling. It is a spiritual gift, a shield in battle, a light in darkness, and a bridge between our present struggle and God’s eternal promise.
The song “Faith,” from the album Empowered: A Journey Through the Gifts of the Spirit, gives voice to our longing for unwavering confidence in the Lord. Through lyrics soaked in truth and melody carried by the breath of worship, we are reminded that Jehovah Emunah—The Lord Who Is Faithful—is our steady ground.
Let us journey together into three anchoring truths about faith: its foundation, its fight, and its fruit.
1. Faith Is Rooted in God’s Character – Not Our Circumstances
Hebrews 11:1 defines faith as “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” This isn’t blind optimism—it’s divine confidence. The foundation of our faith is not what we can calculate or predict, but who God is.
The song opens with the cry, “Jehovah Emunah, hear my call, I trust Your hand can conquer all.” When mountains rise before us, when fear clouds our view, faith holds fast because its roots go deeper than what we feel. Jehovah Emunah is unshakable. His nature is faithfulness, and His promises are not dependent on the weather of our emotions.
Romans 4:20–21 tells us that Abraham “staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief… being fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able also to perform.” Abraham’s faith was not anchored in circumstances—it was anchored in God.
Application: When you face uncertainty, pause. Ask yourself: Who is God in this situation? Remind your soul that He is faithful, strong, and true. Speak His name—Jehovah Emunah—until peace floods your soul.
2. Faith Is Formed in the Storm – Not the Safety
Isaiah 26:3–4 promises, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee… for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.” It is in the middle of the storm that faith becomes a force, not a theory.
The second verse confesses our reality: “So many doubts can shake our core, but grace invites us to trust You more.” The storms are real. Doubts will come. But faith grows stronger when tested. The bridge becomes a declaration of unity and strength: “We rise as one, proclaim Your might, though storms rage on, Your Word is light.”
2 Corinthians 5:7 says we walk by faith, not by sight. Walking by faith means we may not see the whole path, but we trust the One who lights the next step. That kind of faith cannot be manufactured—it must be imparted by the Spirit and forged in adversity.
Application: What storm are you facing? Instead of asking God to remove it, ask Him to meet you in it. Let your praise be louder than your panic. Worship isn’t denial—it’s alignment.
3. Faith Is a Collective Cry – Not a Solo Performance
One of the most powerful aspects of this song is the shift from individual trust to corporate proclamation: “We rise as one.” Faith was never meant to be lived alone. The Spirit empowers us to believe not just for ourselves, but for others—our families, our churches, our nations.
Faith moves from private conviction to public declaration. Psalm 46:1 reminds us, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Our—not just my. In the Body of Christ, your faith strengthens mine. And when we declare God’s Word together, strongholds shake.
The final chorus says, “We walk by faith and not by sight, led by Your everlasting light.” That’s not just poetic—it’s prophetic. The Church is being called into a season of Spirit-empowered faith. Faith that believes for the impossible. Faith that intercedes with authority. Faith that walks with unshaken resolve into the future.
Application: Who can you encourage this week with your faith? Speak life over someone’s valley. Join with others in prayer. As we unite our voices, the world will see a Church that walks by faith and not by fear.
Conclusion:
Beloved, faith is not fragile—it is fierce. Not because of our strength, but because of His. Jehovah Emunah is our steady ground. When we walk by faith, we walk on the foundation of His unbreakable promises.
Let us remember:
-
Faith is rooted in God’s character.
-
Faith is formed in the storm.
-
Faith is ignited in unity.
And as we declare together: “Faith that stands through wind and wave, holding fast to what You gave. You are faithful, strong and sure—in Your promise, we endure.”
May we endure. May we rise. May we walk in the fullness of Spirit-empowered faith.
Prayer:
Father, we lift our eyes to You—our Faithful One. Thank You for the gift of faith. Strengthen what is weak in us. Let doubt give way to trust. Teach us to walk by faith and not by sight. Let our faith be contagious, bold, and rooted in Your Word. We believe that what You’ve promised, You will perform. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Podcast Script
🎙️ Podcast Title: Faith That Holds in the Storm
Episode Length: Approx. 700 words
[Opening – Spoken in a calm, welcoming tone]
Hey friends—and welcome. I’m so glad you’ve joined me today. Wherever you’re tuning in from—maybe you’re walking, resting, or just needing a word of encouragement—I want to invite you into a space of peace, a space of worship, and a space of renewed hope.
Today we’re talking about something that every believer wrestles with—and that’s faith. Not just the kind we sing about on Sunday, but the kind that has to stand tall when nothing makes sense. The kind that whispers truth when fear is loud. The kind of faith that endures.
And we’re drawing from a beautiful song called “Faith” from the album Empowered: A Journey Through the Gifts of the Spirit. If you haven’t heard it yet, I encourage you to listen after this—it’s like a prayer set to music. Gentle, strong, stirring. It speaks straight to the heart of what it means to trust God in the storm.
[Unpacking the Song]
The lyrics open with this line:
“When mountains loom before my sight, and fear would darken faith’s pure light, Jehovah Emunah, hear my call…”
Have you ever had a moment like that? When everything in front of you felt too big? Maybe a diagnosis. A broken relationship. Financial pressure. Or just the ache of unanswered prayers. In those moments, faith isn’t a feeling. It’s a decision to lean into the character of God. That’s why the song doesn’t cry out to circumstances—it cries out to Jehovah Emunah—The Lord who is Faithful.
Hebrews 11:1 reminds us that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. It’s not vague optimism. It’s rooted in the certainty of who God is, even when we don’t see the full picture.
[Devotional Insight]
One of my favorite lines in the song says,
“So many doubts can shake our core, but grace invites us to trust You more.”
Isn’t that beautiful? Faith doesn’t require you to be perfect—it just asks you to come. And grace meets you there. It reminds me of Isaiah 26:3—“You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”
Maybe you’ve felt shaken lately. Maybe your faith feels small. But remember, Jesus said in Matthew 17:20 that even mustard seed faith can move mountains. The key is not the size of your faith—but the strength of the One you place it in.
[Personal Story or Reflection]
I remember a season in my own life when everything felt uncertain. We had been praying for breakthrough in an area for years, and honestly, I was tired. I was tempted to let go of the promise. But the Lord gently whispered, “Don’t let your feelings have the final word. Let My faithfulness speak louder.”
It didn’t change overnight—but something changed in me. And when I heard this song, it was like a confirmation:
“In every trial, Your hope is found. We walk by faith and not by sight.”
That’s the kind of faith God is building in you too.
[Call to Action]
So here’s the invitation:
What’s one area of your life where you need to say, “Jehovah Emunah, I trust You”?
Maybe it’s your family. Your health. A calling that feels delayed. Wherever your storm is—anchor yourself in the One who is faithful. Declare His Word. Speak truth over your heart. And if you’re walking strong in this season, lift someone else’s arms. Intercede. Encourage. Declare breakthrough.
Because faith is not just personal—it’s communal. The song says,
“We rise as one, proclaim Your might.”
This is the Church. Rising together. Believing together. Walking by faith, side by side.
[Closing Prayer – Spoken slowly, with pauses]
Let’s pray together.
Jehovah Emunah, You are our faithful God. When storms rage and fear presses in, You are our steady ground. We choose today to trust—not in what we see, but in who You are. Strengthen our hearts. Quiet our doubts. Help us to walk by faith and not by sight. And Lord, make us a people of unshaken confidence—faith-carriers, intercessors, light-bearers. Let our faith be a fire that warms others, a voice that speaks hope, and a song that never ends. We trust You, and we say, Amen.
Thank you for joining me today, friend. If this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs to hear, “God is faithful.” And remember—your faith, even in its smallest form, is precious to God. Keep walking. He’s leading.
Until next time, keep worshipping, keep trusting, and keep believing.
God bless you.
