Worship Devotion

Devotional: “Glory to God” — A Celebration of the Reign of Yeshua

Scripture Focus: Colossians 3:17 — “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”

There are moments in worship when we don’t just sing about God—we sing to Him. “Glory to God,” the triumphant finale of the Supreme in Christ album, is one of those sacred moments. It’s a clarion call to every worshipper, intercessor, and believer to lift their voice in unashamed, unified praise. With driving gospel energy and lyrics soaked in prophetic truth, this song ushers us into the heavenly throne room where all creation testifies to the glory of our risen King.

This isn’t just a praise song—it’s a declaration of divine reality. As Colossians 1:15–20 reminds us, Yeshua is the image of the invisible God, the One through whom all things were made and for whom all things exist. He is before all, above all, and in Him, all things hold together. When we sing, “El HaKavod, be lifted high,” we are aligning ourselves with heaven’s anthem—a sound that never ceases (Revelation 5:11–13).

The song also draws powerfully from Philippians 2:9–11: “At the name of Jesus every knee should bow… and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” These aren’t future possibilities—they are inevitable truths. We don’t worship as a suggestion; we worship as an eternal certainty. This is the destiny of every created being: to glorify Yeshua.

But the glory of God is not only cosmic—it’s deeply personal. Isaiah 61:1–3 speaks of the anointing of the Spirit upon God’s servant to proclaim liberty, comfort the brokenhearted, and give the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. “Glory to God” becomes that garment. In our battles, in our mourning, in our triumphs—we lift high His name. Praise is not just the overflow of joy; it’s the weapon of the redeemed.

The Spirit-led cry “Set us free!” echoes throughout the song, not as a plea of desperation, but as a victory shout. It is the declaration of a people who know they have been loosed from sin, shame, and fear. The Ruach HaKodesh moves powerfully when we exalt the Son. Freedom follows where Yeshua is lifted up (John 12:32).

And so this song, placed intentionally as the final track, becomes our commissioning. Having walked through Colossians—from Christ’s supremacy to our new identity in Him—we now rise with boldness. We join the global chorus: every tribe, every tongue, every nation proclaiming, “Glory to God!”

Reflection and Application

  • Worship as Warfare: What battles are you facing today? Use this song as a weapon—declare God’s glory over your circumstances. Sing it until your atmosphere shifts.

  • Praise as Identity: Do you know who you are in Christ? You are a worshipper, a royal priesthood. Your voice matters in the throne room of heaven.

  • Glory as Lifestyle: Colossians 3:17 invites us to live every moment for God’s glory. How can you glorify Him today in your words, choices, and actions?

Prayer

Abba Father, we exalt You today. Yeshua, You are El HaKavod—the God of Glory. You reign with power, majesty, and endless mercy. Let every breath within us shout Your praise. Holy Spirit, stir a fresh fire of worship and intercession in our hearts. Let our lives testify to Your goodness. And may all the earth—through our songs, our prayers, and our lives—declare: Glory to God!

Amen.

Surmon Notes

Sermon Title: “Glory to God: The Eternal Song of Heaven and Earth”

Text: Colossians 3:17 (KJV)

“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”

Introduction

Today, we come to the crescendo of our worship journey through the book of Colossians. The final song on the album Supreme in Christ—titled Glory to God—is not just a musical climax; it is a spiritual commissioning. It is a shout of praise, a trumpet blast of truth, and a prophetic call to every believer: Let all creation lift up the name of Yeshua!

This is more than emotion. This is devotion. And as the chorus rings—“El HaKavod, be lifted high! All the earth will testify!”—we are invited into something far bigger than ourselves. Heaven and earth are unified in praise, and we are part of that eternal choir.

Let’s explore three truths from the Word of God that anchor this anthem of glory.

1. Christ is Supreme—Above All, Before All, Sustaining All

Scripture: Colossians 1:15–20

“By him were all things created… and by him all things consist.”

The glory of Yeshua is not a future concept. It is a present, unshakable reality. He is not waiting to be enthroned—He is enthroned. All things were made by Him, through Him, and for Him. He is the radiance of the invisible God, the head of the Church, the firstborn from the dead, and the One in whom all fullness dwells.

To sing “Glory to God” is to declare war against every power that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. It is to take our place under His lordship and boldly proclaim, “Yeshua reigns now and forever!”

Application:

What in your life have you crowned with preeminence other than Christ? Today is a call to realign—to remove every idol, silence every fear, and lift high the One through whom all things hold together. He alone is worthy.

2. Praise is Our Weapon—Releasing the Power of the Spirit

Scripture: Isaiah 61:1–3

“…To give them the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness…”

This song doesn’t just celebrate the glory of God—it wages war against bondage. In every verse and chorus, we hear the cry: “Set us free!” And this isn’t a desperate plea. It’s a declaration of faith.

The Holy Spirit—Ruach HaKodesh—moves powerfully where Yeshua is exalted. Praise is not passive. Praise is powerful. It breaks chains, opens prison doors, and clothes us in the oil of joy instead of mourning.

Revelation 5 shows us heaven in unceasing worship, declaring, “Worthy is the Lamb!” And here on earth, our agreement with that heavenly sound becomes a channel of deliverance.

Application:

What heaviness are you carrying today? Depression, fear, anxiety, despair? Put on the garment of praise. Declare God’s glory until the weight lifts and joy breaks forth. Worship is your warfare—use it.

3. Every Knee Will Bow—Live Now for His Eternal Glory

Scripture: Philippians 2:9–11

“…At the name of Jesus every knee should bow… and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

The song Glory to God is a foretaste of the eternal reality prophesied in Philippians: one day, every nation, tribe, and tongue will bow before the risen King. But worship is not just for that day. It’s for this day.

Colossians 3:17 reminds us that everything—yes, everything—we do is to be done in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks and glory to the Father. Your daily choices, your worship, your work, your words—they are all instruments of praise.

Application:

Are you living for His glory in both word and deed? Does your lifestyle sing the same song your lips declare? Surrender afresh today. Let every part of you testify, “Yeshua is Lord!”

Conclusion: A Prophetic Call to Worship

Beloved, Glory to God is more than a closing track—it’s a spiritual sending. It invites us to step into heaven’s rhythm, to echo the sound of Revelation, to shake the earth with our praise. This is not the end of the journey—it’s the launching pad of intercession, revival, and kingdom declaration.

Let the sound of “El HaKavod” rise from your lips and your life. Let your worship be unshackled, your identity unshakable, and your devotion unstoppable.

Because Yeshua is supreme.

Because the Spirit sets us free.

Because all the earth will testify.

Let us lift up the name of the Lord and declare…

Glory to God!

Closing Prayer

Father, we lift up the name of Your Son, Yeshua. He is exalted, enthroned, and glorious. Let our lives declare His majesty. Holy Spirit, fill us with the fire of praise. Break every chain, stir every heart, and align our lives with heaven’s worship. May the earth echo with our song: Glory to God in the highest! In Yeshua’s name, amen.

🎙️ Podcast Episode Script — “Glory to God: Living the Song of Heaven”

Intro music fades in: joyful gospel brass, soft background choir hum… then fades under voice.

HOST:

Hey friends—and welcome back to The Spirit-Led Life, where we dive deep into worship, scripture, and what it means to walk with Yeshua in spirit and truth. I’m so glad you’re here with me today. Whether you’re driving, walking, or just sitting with a cup of coffee and your Bible open—I believe this moment is divine appointment.

Today we’re closing out the journey through Supreme in Christ: A Journey Through Colossians, and what a ride it’s been! The final song on this powerful album is called “Glory to God”—and let me tell you, it’s not just a celebration; it’s a commissioning.

This episode isn’t just about music. It’s about calling. Identity. Purpose. So lean in… because I believe God wants to speak something fresh over your life.

[Segment 1: The Sound of Heaven on Earth]

“Glory to God” is the kind of song that lifts the roof off the place. You’ve got blasting horns, powerhouse vocals, choirs echoing declarations like “El HaKavod, be lifted high!”—which means “God of Glory, be exalted!”—and it feels like heaven is crashing into earth.

And isn’t that the goal of worship?

That heaven wouldn’t feel far off.

That eternity wouldn’t feel like a future hope.

But that right now, in this moment, you and I would stand in agreement with heaven’s praise.

Revelation 5 gives us that heavenly picture:

“Worthy is the Lamb that was slain… blessing, and honor, and glory, and power be unto Him that sits on the throne.” (Revelation 5:12–13)

When we worship, we’re not just expressing thanks—we’re joining the eternal sound of worship that never stops.

[Segment 2: The Glory That Transforms]

Now let’s bring it closer to home.

Colossians 3:17 says,

“Whatever you do, in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God…”

It’s not just about Sunday morning. It’s about Tuesday afternoon. It’s about the way we speak to our kids, the way we serve at work, the way we carry ourselves in a weary world.

You and I were made for glory—not our own, but His.

I remember a time—not long ago—when I was overwhelmed, burdened with things I couldn’t fix. I felt heavy in my spirit. And the Lord gently whispered, “Sing through it.”

So I did.

I stood in my living room and sang this chorus:

“All the earth will testify… Yeshua, crowned in majesty… Set us free.”

And something shifted.

Not in my situation, but in me.

Isaiah 61 calls it the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Praise isn’t just what we do when we feel good. It’s what we wear when we need to stand strong.

[Segment 3: The Power of Unified Worship]

What I love most about this song is how it gathers voices—nations, tribes, tongues—all declaring one truth:

Yeshua is Lord.

Philippians 2 tells us that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord. Not might. Not maybe. Will.

So here’s the question:

Why wait?

Let’s not let the rocks cry out in our place.

Let’s not treat worship as a warmup.

Let’s let our whole lives shout Glory to God! in how we love, how we forgive, how we intercede, and how we live with courage.

This song closes the album—but it opens a new season for you and me.

A season of bold praise.

A season of prophetic declaration.

A season of revival.

[Devotional Reflection & Call to Action]

So here’s my challenge for you today:

  • What if you let praise lead?

Before the stress. Before the planning. Before the worry. Just stop and lift Him up.

  • What if you saw your worship as intercession?

Not just singing songs, but shifting atmospheres, declaring freedom, and inviting heaven to invade your home, your workplace, your city.

  • What if you lived as one who testifies?

Your life is the echo of this song. Let everything you do say: “Glory to God.”

You are part of the global choir. Your voice matters. Your worship makes a difference.

[Closing Prayer]

Let’s pray together.

Abba Father, we thank You for the gift of praise. We lift up the name of Yeshua, the One who is crowned in majesty. You are El HaKavod—the God of Glory. Let our lives be altars of worship, our homes be places of Your presence, and our voices rise like incense before Your throne. We say today: Be lifted high. All the earth will testify. Stir a fresh fire in us, Holy Spirit, and let our praise become breakthrough—for us, for our families, and for our nations. In Yeshua’s name… Amen.

[Outro]

Thanks for joining me today on The Spirit-Led Life. If this episode stirred something in you, share it with a friend, and don’t forget to spend some time worshipping with “Glory to God”—let it lead you deeper into the presence of the One who reigns forever.

Until next time, keep praising, keep praying, and keep walking in the Spirit.
