Song Lyrics
Stripes of Salvation
Verse 1
Underneath the Roman lash, His flesh was torn, but not His spirit dashed,
Isaiah’s prophecy, “By His wounds, we are healed,” vividly flashed.
Each cruel stripe, each mark of hate, was for our sin, a redemptive fate,
In every blow, love did not abate, but grew stronger, sealed our heavenly state.
Chorus:
Stripes of salvation, marks of pure love,
Fulfilling the words from the Father above.
In every wound, a story of grace,
He bore our pain, took our rightful place.
Verse 2:
The whip’s crack, the skin’s tear, a symphony of our sin laid bare,
Yet with each stripe, He offered a prayer, “Father, forgive them,” His only care.
For in His pain, our healing was won, the victory over death begun,
The Lamb of God, the righteous One, by His stripes, the battle done.
Chorus:
Stripes of salvation, marks of pure love,
Fulfilling the words from the Father above.
In every wound, a story of grace,
He bore our pain, took our rightful place.
Bridge:
Look upon the Savior, beaten, scorned, yet brave,
Carrying the cross of sin, He came to save.
Let your heart be lightened, for His pain was not in vain,
In His wounds, we find our healing, in His suffering, our gain.
Chorus:
Stripes of salvation, marks of pure love,
Fulfilling the words from the Father above.
In every wound, a story of grace,
He bore our pain, took our rightful place.
Outro:
So, let us stand in awe and wonder, at the price He chose to pay,
For the stripes He bore in silence, wash our deepest stains away.
In His wounds, we find our victory, in His scars, our story told,
Stripes of salvation, our healing to behold.
our healing to behold.
Bridge:
Look upon the Savior, beaten, scorned, yet brave,
Carrying the cross of sin, He came to save.
Let your heart be lightened, for His pain was not in vain,

Sermon: “By His Stripes, We Are Healed”
Text: Isaiah 53:4–5, 1 Peter 2:24, John 19:1
Introduction: The Hidden Glory in Every Wound
Beloved, today we pause not at the empty tomb, nor even at the cross, but at the whipping post — a place we often pass over too quickly in our rush to Resurrection. But there is glory in this place. There is power here. There is healing in every stripe that tore the back of our Savior.
We’ve heard the words before:
“By His stripes, we are healed.”
— Isaiah 53:5
But do we feel the weight of those words? Do we understand what each lash accomplished in the Spirit? Because those stripes weren’t just physical. They were spiritual decrees. They were divine transactions. They were promises written in blood.
Point 1: The Whip Was Not Random — It Was Redemptive
John 19:1 says, “Then Pilate took Jesus and had him flogged.”
But this wasn’t just Roman cruelty — it was divine choreography. Every lash was fulfilling Isaiah’s vision from centuries before. The whip — with its shards of bone, metal, and stone — tore flesh, yes. But in the Spirit, it tore curses. It ripped through sickness. It fractured shame.
With each strike, heaven was recording a new reality: “This wound is for her healing. That stripe is for his restoration. That blow carries the burden of their guilt.”
The pain was precise. The suffering, sacred.
Point 2: Prophecy Was Fulfilled Through Blood
Isaiah saw it.
Peter confirmed it.
The Lamb carried it.
And yet, many today still don’t realize — the price for your healing has already been paid. This isn’t just about physical healing. It’s about soul-wounds. Generational trauma. Emotional scars. Anxiety. Addiction. Spiritual despair.
By His wounds, your wounds don’t get the final say.
Each lash was a seal over prophecy: “Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows.”
Each drop of blood was heaven’s “Yes and Amen.”
Point 3: The Silence of Yeshua Was Not Weakness — It Was Warfare
He didn’t fight back.
He didn’t explain Himself.
He prayed: “Father, forgive them.”
As the soldiers mocked, He interceded.
In that moment, He wasn’t just a victim. He was a high priest, standing between judgment and mercy. He bore the mocking so we could receive the blessing. He absorbed the violence so we could walk in peace. He turned the whip into a weapon of healing.
His silence broke the silence between God and man.
Point 4: There Is Healing in the Vision
When you close your eyes and picture that scene — do you only see the brutality? Or do you also see the light?
Because we’ve learned through this song and cinematic that with every lash, light burst forth. Prophetic visions unfolded. People were healed across time. Chains shattered. Blind eyes opened. Hearts awakened.
This is not a scene of horror. This is a scene of glory.
“The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him.”
— Isaiah 53:5
Point 5: Will You Stand in the Light of His Stripes?
So now, what will you do with the stripes of Yeshua?
Will you:
-
Keep hiding your wounds?
-
Keep limping in shame?
-
Keep accepting lies that you’re not worthy?
Or will you come boldly, kneel before the marks on His back, and say, “This was for me.”
Because it was.
Every stripe — personal.
Every lash — intentional.
Every scar — redemptive.
Conclusion: Worship at the Whipping Post
We often worship at the cross.
We dance at the empty tomb.
But perhaps today, we need to worship at the post.
To say:
“Thank You, Yeshua, for every blow. Thank You for staying when You could have escaped. Thank You for turning pain into power, blood into beauty, and suffering into salvation.”
Let the stripes of Jesus become the song of your soul, the testimony of your healing, the beginning of your wholeness.
Call to Response:
If you are wounded — come.
If you are weary — come.
If you are sick in body or soul — come.
Come and receive from the Lamb who took every stripe so you could stand in victory.
By His stripes, you are healed.

🎙️ Podcast Script – Stripes of Salvation
(From the album “Journey of Redemption: The Path of the Cross”)
By Darren Winfield
[Intro music fades in — reflective, orchestral]
Hello dear friends, and welcome.
Today we’re stepping into one of the most sacred, weighty, and powerful moments in the journey of redemption — the stripes of Yeshua. This is Track 2 in our worship journey, titled “Stripes of Salvation.”
You might want to find a quiet place to reflect as we begin.
[Pause. Music fades under voice]
When we think of the cross, we often go straight to the nails.
But before the nails… there were the stripes.
The scourging.
The whipping.
The tearing of flesh under a Roman lash laced with bone and metal.
It wasn’t just suffering — it was prophecy unfolding.
Isaiah 53 says:
“By His stripes, we are healed.”
And in those few words… is an ocean of grace.
[Soft underscore begins — ambient strings]
This wasn’t random violence.
It wasn’t a moment of chaos.
It was intentional.
Purposeful.
Redemptive.
With every lash across Yeshua’s back, a transaction was being made.
He was purchasing our healing.
Our restoration.
Our peace.
Picture it.
He stands in silence.
Not in defeat — but in obedience.
While soldiers mocked…
He prayed.
While the whip cracked…
He interceded.
And the Spirit whispered through eternity:
“This is for their freedom.”
In the cinematic video for this track, we tried to capture something deeper — that every wound was not just a mark of pain, but a source of healing.
With each stripe, we see healing ripple across time:
-
A blind child opening her eyes.
-
A grieving mother lifting her head.
-
A man bound in shame, breaking free.
These aren’t just visual metaphors.
They’re real.
They’re happening even now, in hearts listening around the world.
Because the power of the stripes hasn’t faded.
It still speaks.
Maybe you’re listening today and you’re carrying wounds — not physical ones, but wounds on the inside.
-
Trauma from the past.
-
Words that broke you.
-
Illness that lingers.
-
Shame that hides behind the smile.
Friend, hear this:
“By His stripes, you are healed.”
Not might be. Not could be.
You are.
[Pause. Ambient music swells slightly]
And what I love is that Yeshua didn’t flinch.
He didn’t resist.
He offered Himself fully — knowing that every lash was love.
Every wound was worth it.
Because you… were worth it.
The pain was real.
But the purpose was greater.
So today, I want to invite you into a moment of response.
Not just to listen to the song — but to receive what it proclaims.
Take a moment to say:
“Lord, I receive the healing You paid for.”
“Thank You for the stripes.”
“Thank You for the mercy in every wound.”
“Thank You for loving me like this.”
If you’re able, pause after this podcast and sit with the lyrics.
Watch the cinematic.
Read Isaiah 53.
Let the Holy Spirit minister to you in that place.
This is more than a song.
It’s a doorway into healing.
A place of remembrance.
And a call to worship at the foot of a whipping post — where suffering became salvation.
[Outro music builds gently — cinematic, reverent]
Thank you for joining me on this journey.
This is just the beginning — there’s so much more ahead.
But for now, rest in this truth:
The Lamb of God bore your pain.
He took your shame.
And by His stripes…
You. Are. Healed.
[Outro music fades]
If this song or this message has touched you, I’d love to hear your story.
Feel free to leave a comment, send a message, or share this with someone who needs healing today.
Until next time,
Keep walking the path of the cross.
Keep your eyes on the Lamb.
Blessings in Yeshua’s name.
