About This Song

“The Hidden Name” delves into the profound mystery of Yeshua’s identity as revealed in the book of Revelation. Scripture tells us that He bears a name written on His thigh, “King of Kings and Lord of Lords,” yet He also holds a name that no one knows but Himself (Revelation 19:12,16). This song invites listeners into the awe of that divine mystery—recognizing that while we know Him as Savior, Redeemer, and King, there is an eternal depth to His identity that transcends human understanding.

The orchestral arrangement mirrors this unfolding mystery, starting with soft, reflective strings and woodwinds that gradually build into powerful crescendos. The music moves like a revelation being unveiled, drawing listeners deeper into the wonder of who Yeshua is. The chorus becomes a declaration of reverence and humility, as we acknowledge that while we are called to worship and know Him, there are facets of His divine nature that will forever remain beyond our grasp.

This track challenges us to embrace the beauty of not fully knowing. In a world that often seeks to define and categorize, “The Hidden Name” reminds us of the sacredness of divine mystery. It invites believers to stand in awe of the King whose majesty cannot be contained by earthly titles, and whose glory stretches into eternity. As we worship, we are reminded that even in heaven, we will continue to discover new dimensions of His greatness. This is a song of wonder, worship, and reverence for the One who is both known and forever mysterious.

Worship Devotion

Devotional: The Hidden Name

There is a name that no one knows but the One who bears it (Revelation 19:12). It is not withheld in cruelty or secrecy, but in holiness—a name so sacred, so filled with glory, that even in eternity we will continue to be undone by its wonder. “The Hidden Name” invites us to kneel before the mystery of Yeshua the Messiah, the Word made flesh, whose name is written in eternity yet wrapped in awe-inspiring concealment.

How often we seek to understand, to explain, to define the nature of God! Yet Scripture reminds us: “His name endures forever” (Psalm 135:13). It stretches beyond the grasp of time and human comprehension. He is El Olam—the Eternal God—revealed through the Son, Yeshua, and yet, gloriously veiled in part, even to those who love Him most.

The lyrics paint the image of the King clothed in light, eyes like fire, and mystery sealed beyond the skies. This isn’t just poetic metaphor—it reflects the blazing holiness described in Isaiah 9:6-7, where His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. These are not titles to be worn lightly; they are revelations of His divine nature. Still, even they do not contain the full weight of who He is.

As worshippers, we often long for clarity. But “The Hidden Name” calls us to something greater—reverence. To worship not only for what we know of Him but for all we don’t yet understand. This is the fear of the Lord, not a terror, but a holy trembling before majesty. It’s the posture of repentance: “Hearts repent, our pride undone, before the throne we’re overcome.” In Yeshua’s presence, all pretense is laid low, and we are left with nothing but worship.

Yet even in the hiddenness of His name, there is intimacy. John 17:6-11 reveals Yeshua’s heart in prayer: “I have manifested Your name to those You have given Me… Holy Father, keep them in Your name.” We are not abandoned to mystery; we are drawn into it. In His mercy, He manifests what we can carry and holds close what our spirits are still growing to bear.

There is a profound humility in realizing we will never fully know Him—yet He fully knows us. He knows your story. He calls you by name. And one day, He will give you a new name—a name written on a white stone (Revelation 2:17)—just as He bears one that remains hidden.

So, what do we do in response?

We stand in awe.

We bow in surrender.

We intercede for those yet to know Him.

We worship—not because we’ve figured Him out, but because He is worthy.

This song is an invitation to slow down and let wonder rise. To enter your prayer time not with a list, but with a longing: “Draw us near, let truth abide. In Your name, our souls revive.” As you reflect, let this be your heart’s cry—not to demystify God, but to behold Him. Let the veil of familiarity fall, and let awe take its rightful place again.

Prayer:

Holy Father, El Olam, we come before You with trembling hearts and open hands. Thank You for revealing Yourself through Yeshua, the Word made flesh. We stand in reverence before Your hidden name—the name that is above every name. Forgive us for the times we’ve tried to contain You in our understanding. Teach us to worship in mystery, in Spirit, and in truth. Let Your name be hallowed in our hearts and magnified in the nations. Amen.

Let your worship today be marked not by explanation, but by adoration. For the King eternal still reigns, and His name is glorious—forever praised.

Clothed in light, with eyes like fire,
Mysteries sealed beyond the skies.
A name unknown, hidden deep inside,

Surmon Notes

Sermon Title: The Hidden Name – Worship in the Mystery of Yeshua

Introduction:

In a world hungry for certainty, the Spirit is calling the Church back to mystery. Not mystery born of confusion or vagueness, but holy mystery—where reverence replaces control, and worship replaces the need to fully understand. “The Hidden Name,” the opening song of The Name Above All Names, opens the veil just enough for us to behold Yeshua—the King of kings—clothed in light, eyes like fire, His name unknown, yet full of glory. And it invites us not to explain, but to bow.

Today, we stand at the threshold of that mystery. This is not a message merely to understand—it is a call to enter, to behold the One whose name is written in eternity, yet hidden in holiness. And in doing so, we begin to reclaim something the modern Church desperately needs: the fear of the Lord.

Let us journey through three truths that flow from the revelation of Yeshua’s hidden name:

Point 1: His Hidden Name Reveals the Majesty of Holiness

Scripture: Revelation 19:12-13, Isaiah 6:1-3, Philippians 2:9-11

John’s vision in Revelation 19 presents Yeshua not as a gentle rabbi, but as the victorious King. His eyes blaze like fire, His robe is dipped in blood, and “He has a name written that no one knows but Himself” (Revelation 19:12). This is not a riddle—it’s a declaration. There are dimensions of Yeshua’s identity so holy that they remain known only to Him. And yet, we are invited into that presence.

The name we cannot pronounce reminds us of what we dare not forget: He is holy.

Isaiah saw this same majesty centuries before. In Isaiah 6, he sees the Lord “high and lifted up,” the train of His robe filling the temple, seraphim crying out day and night: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!” (Isaiah 6:3). And Isaiah’s only response was “Woe is me!” The hiddenness of God does not drive us away; it breaks us open.

In a generation accustomed to access and immediacy, Yeshua’s hidden name humbles us. We’re reminded that while God has made Himself known in Christ, He has not made Himself small. Holiness isn’t tame. It’s the fire in His eyes and the mystery in His name.

Application:

How often do we approach God casually, assuming familiarity grants entitlement? True intimacy with God begins in reverence. Let your worship be marked by awe. Repent not only of sin, but of the pride that assumes we know all of who God is. Yeshua’s hidden name calls us to rediscover the fear of the Lord—and in that fear, to find the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10).

Point 2: His Hidden Name Marks Us for Intimacy

Scripture: Revelation 2:17, John 17:6-11, Psalm 139:1-6

Though His name is hidden, He has made His heart known. In Revelation 2:17, the promise to the overcomer is this: “I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.” Just as He bears a name only He knows, so too, He gives us a name that only we will fully comprehend. This is a covenant of intimacy. He knows us uniquely, and He invites us into knowing Him in return.

Yeshua prayed in John 17, “I have manifested Your name to the men You gave Me out of the world… Holy Father, keep them in Your name” (vv. 6, 11). The name that is hidden from the world is revealed to those the Father has given Him. Not fully, but relationally. Yeshua doesn’t demand that we understand His every mystery—He invites us to walk with Him inside it.

And this is not distance—it is love. Psalm 139 proclaims that God searches and knows us, that He is familiar with all our ways. We are fully known, even if we cannot yet fully know Him.

Application:

Don’t let the mystery of God distance you—let it draw you. Worship is not about solving God; it’s about walking with Him. Ask the Holy Spirit to stir within you a fresh hunger for intimacy. Not to define God by your experiences, but to allow Him to define you through His eternal gaze.

Point 3: His Hidden Name Fuels Intercession and Surrender

Scripture: Romans 8:26-27, Isaiah 45:15, Revelation 11:15

There’s a moment in the song’s bridge that shifts from worship to warfare:

“For every heart that longs to know,

Reveal Your grace, let mercy flow.

For nations lost and hearts astray,

We intercede in Yeshua’s name.”

Here, we see the prophetic turning point: mystery becomes mission.

Though His name is hidden, it has been given to us as authority. Philippians 2:9-11 declares that Yeshua’s name is above every name, and at His name every knee will bow. While we may not know the fullness of His hidden name, we do know the name by which we’ve been saved—and it is the name by which we are sent.

Romans 8 reminds us that even our prayers are caught up in the mystery: “We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans too deep for words.” The hidden name becomes the anchor for Spirit-led intercession. We pray not from knowledge, but from alignment.

And as we intercede, we join heaven’s declaration: “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever” (Revelation 11:15). The hidden name is not passive—it is victorious. And it calls the Church to rise in surrendered authority.

Application:

Let the mystery of His name ignite your intercession. Pray for your city, your family, your nation—not because you know the solution, but because you know the One whose name holds all authority. Intercession is not about control; it is about partnership. Worship, weep, and war in the name of Yeshua—and trust the Spirit to lead you deeper than words.

Conclusion & Activation:

Beloved, we have been invited into the holy. Into the fire of His eyes, the glory of His robe, the mystery of His name.

Don’t rush past this moment. Pause.

Breathe.

Let reverence rise in your spirit.

Let surrender quiet your striving.

Let your heart whisper: “Your hidden name, a mystery.”

You are not called to understand everything. You are called to worship. And in worship, you will know Him—not in fullness, but in truth. And one day, face to face.

Let us pray:

Prayer:

Yeshua, You are the Word made flesh. The King who holds a name no one knows but You. We bow in awe. We surrender our need to define You, and instead choose to adore You. Stir in us holy fear, deeper worship, and bold intercession. Mark us with Your name. Teach us to walk in the mystery with confidence and wonder. And lead us, Spirit of God, into the depths of the One whose glory has no end. Amen.

Worship Activation:

Take time now—either in silence or with the song “The Hidden Name” playing softly—to wait on the Lord. Ask Him:

  • What part of Your nature am I missing because I’ve tried to fully explain You?

  • Where have I lost wonder, and how can I return to awe?

Journal what He shows you. Then lift up His name—known and unknown—with reverent praise.

He is worthy. Amen.

🎙️ Podcast Episode: The Hidden Name

A devotional conversation from the album “The Name Above All Names”

Cue gentle intro music

Welcome, beloved friends.

Wherever you are tuning in from—whether you’re on a walk, driving in your car, or sitting quietly with your Bible—I want to say thank you for making space to join me. This is a sacred pause. A moment to breathe, reflect, and meet with God in wonder.

Today, we’re diving into a song that I believe invites us to do just that. It’s called “The Hidden Name”, and it opens the worship journey of the album The Name Above All Names. This isn’t just a song—it’s a doorway into reverence.

Cue soft instrumental swell

Revelation 19:12 says of Yeshua:

“He had a name written that no one knew but He Himself.”

Let that sink in. In a world obsessed with knowing, labeling, and defining—we’re introduced to a King whose name is so holy, so set apart, that it’s beyond us. And yet… He invites us close.

The lyrics echo this mystery:

“Clothed in light, with eyes like fire, mysteries sealed beyond the skies.”

It’s not just poetic—it’s scriptural. It’s the kind of awe that Isaiah felt when he saw the Lord high and lifted up. And here’s my question for you today:

When was the last time you let yourself be undone by the majesty of God—without trying to explain Him?

Pause for reflection

We don’t worship because we understand everything. We worship because He’s worthy.

There’s something holy in choosing awe over answers. And that’s what this song leads us into.

Philippians 2:9–11 reminds us that God gave Yeshua “the name above every name,” and that at His name, every knee shall bow. That’s not just about the end of the age. It’s about our hearts today—bowed in surrender, trembling in love.

Cue gentle strings

And here’s what I love most about this song:

It reminds us that mystery doesn’t mean distance.

In John 17, Yeshua says to the Father:

“I have manifested Your name to those You gave Me… Holy Father, keep them in Your name.”

Though part of His name is hidden, He reveals what we can carry. He brings us into intimacy—not through information, but through relationship.

Maybe that’s for someone listening today. You’ve been trying to figure God out. Maybe even frustrated that you don’t feel Him the way you once did. Could it be that He’s inviting you into wonder again?

Not less closeness. More awe.

Cue light instrumental bridge

The bridge of the song says:

“For every heart that longs to know, reveal Your grace, let mercy flow.”

This is worship, yes. But it’s also intercession.

We don’t stand at the edge of mystery just to admire it. We let it break our hearts for others. For the nations. For the ones who’ve never heard His name—hidden or revealed.

Who is God putting on your heart right now?

A friend? A people group? A prodigal child?

Take a moment. Let the Holy Spirit bring someone to mind. And just begin to whisper their name before the throne.

Cue instrumental crescendo

Let’s pray.

Holy Father,

El Olam… Eternal God… we come before You not to solve a mystery, but to surrender to it. Thank You for Yeshua, the Word made flesh, who reveals Your heart and yet carries a name no one knows but Himself. We stand in awe—not of what we can define, but of who You are.

Teach us to worship You in reverence, to pray in alignment, and to walk humbly before Your majesty. Let Your name be hallowed in our hearts, and glorified in the nations.

We yield. We adore. We intercede.

In Yeshua’s name—Amen.

Cue soft outro music

Thanks for joining me today on this episode of Worship & Wonder.

If “The Hidden Name” stirred something in your spirit, I encourage you: don’t rush past it. Let the mystery minister to you. Sit with it in prayer. Sing it as an offering. Intercede from that place of reverence.

Until next time, may your worship be filled with wonder, your heart with awe, and your steps with purpose.

Grace and peace, beloved.
