About This Song
Background & Inspiration:
Rooted in Colossians 3:14-15, this track is an invitation for the Body of Christ to walk in unity. It’s a reminder that we are not meant to be divided—rather, we are called to be one in Spirit, bound together by the love of Christ. The song is a response to Yeshua’s prayer in John 17, where He asks the Father to make His people one, just as He and the Father are one.
Musical Composition:
With an upbeat, groove-driven gospel feel, “Unity in Spirit” is filled with tight drum rhythms, smooth basslines, and lively organ swells. The call-and-response format between the lead vocalist and choir reflects the heartbeat of community, making this track highly interactive and engaging. The song has a natural groove that encourages movement, whether it’s clapping, dancing, or swaying in praise.
Lyrics & Themes:
The lyrics emphasize breaking down walls of division, setting aside fear and pride, and embracing the unity that comes through the Holy Spirit. It reminds believers that true unity is found in Christ alone and that we are stronger together when we stand in one accord.
Personal Reflection:
This song is a joyful reminder that we are not alone. We are part of a global body of believers, and when we come together in worship, we reflect the very heart of God. It also challenges worshippers to look beyond their own perspective and seek peace and reconciliation in the Body of Christ.
Audience Engagement:
This track is perfect for gospel choirs, congregational worship, or praise teams. It’s the kind of song that naturally invites participation, making it an excellent choice for any gathering where believers want to declare unity in the Spirit.
Key Lyrics:
“Ruach HaKodesh, come and move! Bind us together in Your truth!”
Worship Devotion
Devotional: Unity in Spirit – One Body, One Voice, One Heart
“Ruach HaKodesh, come and move… Bind us together in Your truth.”
These powerful lyrics echo the deep longing of Yeshua’s heart—His prayer for oneness in John 17. In a world that is fractured by division, competition, and misunderstanding, this song becomes more than a melody—it becomes an intercessory cry from the heart of the Church: “Make us one, Lord.”
In Colossians 3:14–15, Paul exhorts the believers, “Above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.”
This is not just a theological aspiration—it is a call to action. Unity is not passive. It is something we must pursue with humility, forgiveness, and love. And yet, it is only possible through the Spirit.
The song opens with celebration: “One voice, one body, one church.” It reminds us that we were never meant to walk alone. We are called to reflect the triune nature of God—Father, Son, and Spirit—perfect in unity. When the Body of Christ walks together in love, the world sees a glimpse of heaven.
But unity requires surrender.
“I have spoken words that wound… Now I lay my pride aside…”
These lyrics are painfully honest. Many of us carry the scars of division—offenses not healed, pride not surrendered. Yet the path to unity begins when we lay down our rights, pick up the cross, and choose reconciliation.
Paul urges in Ephesians 4:3, “Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
Unity doesn’t mean uniformity. It means choosing peace over strife, relationship over being right. It means letting the Holy Spirit soften our hearts, humble our spirits, and realign our agendas with heaven’s.
As the bridge of the song proclaims:
“No more fear, no more strife. In Yeshua, we have LIFE.”
This is the fruit of unity—life, joy, peace. Psalm 133 tells us that where brethren dwell together in unity, “there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life forevermore.” God’s blessing flows not where there is brilliance, but where there is unity.
Unity is not a side issue—it’s central to the Gospel. Yeshua’s prayer in John 17:21 was that “they all may be one… that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.”
When we walk in unity, we become living evidence that the Gospel is real, that the love of God transforms, and that the Spirit of God dwells among us.
Today, let the lyrics of this song be your confession and your intercession:
Ruach HaKodesh, come and move. Bind us together in Your truth.
Ask the Holy Spirit to show you any place where division lingers—in your family, your church, your heart. Lay it down. Forgive. Reach out. Speak peace. Choose unity.
You are not just one believer—you are part of one Body.
One Church. One faith. One Lord.
Reflection Questions:
-
Is there any relationship in your life where pride has replaced peace?
-
What is one practical way you can pursue unity in your church or community this week?
-
Have you asked the Holy Spirit to heal any past divisions or wounds in your heart?
Prayer:
Ruach HaKodesh, we invite You to come and move. Break down every wall of pride, fear, and offense. Bind us together in Your truth. Let Your love be the bond that unites us. Forgive us for the ways we’ve contributed to division. Heal our hearts and realign us with Your Kingdom purpose. Yeshua, make us one—one Body, one voice, one Spirit. For Your glory and the testimony of Your love. Amen.
Beloved, you were never meant to stand alone. You were meant to stand together—in the Spirit, in truth, in love.
Let this be your declaration:
“We are ONE—in Yeshua, we have LIFE.”

Sermon Title: “Unity in Spirit – The Bond of Peace and Power”
Text: Colossians 3:14–15, Ephesians 4:1–6, John 17:20–23
Introduction: The Sound of Heaven Is Unity
Beloved, we are living in a time when division is not only rampant in the world—it has crept into the Body of Christ. And yet, in the midst of chaos, the Spirit of God is releasing a sound from heaven—a call to unity. The song “Unity in Spirit” from the album Supreme in Christ is more than music; it is a prophetic cry echoing the very heartbeat of Yeshua, who prayed: “That they all may be one…” (John 17:21).
This message today is an invitation—to respond to that cry, to realign our hearts, and to pursue the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Let’s explore three vital truths from scripture that show us how to walk in unity as the Body of Christ.
1.
Love Is the Bond of Perfect Unity
Scripture: Colossians 3:14–15
“And above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.”
Paul tells the church that unity doesn’t start with agreement—it starts with love. Not a sentimental emotion, but the agape love that comes from God Himself. This love is what binds us when we disagree. It’s what enables us to forgive, to be patient, to prefer others above ourselves.
Unity is not a passive state—it must be put on. Just like we clothe ourselves each morning, we must choose daily to put on love, to allow peace to rule, and to stay thankful—even when it’s hard.
Application:
Ask the Holy Spirit: Who do I need to forgive? Where have I allowed offense to build a wall? Put on love—bind yourself to the Body with cords of humility and grace.
2.
Unity Requires Humility and Effort
Scripture: Ephesians 4:2–3
“With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
Paul uses the word endeavouring—which means to make every effort. Unity doesn’t come naturally. It takes work. It takes repentance. It takes letting go of pride and picking up the cross.
The second verse of the song confesses:
“I have spoken words that wound… Now I lay my pride aside…”
What a powerful confession! We all have moments where we speak from pride or pain. But true unity is birthed when we humble ourselves, seek peace, and allow the Holy Spirit to lead.
Application:
This week, make one effort toward reconciliation—whether it’s a conversation, a prayer, or a step of humility. Let your life reflect the meekness of Christ.
3.
The Spirit Unites Us for Glory and Witness
Scripture: John 17:22–23
“That they may be one, even as we are one… that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them…”
Yeshua’s high priestly prayer was not just for the apostles—but for all who would believe. Unity in the Body is not just for internal harmony—it is our greatest witness to a watching world.
The chorus of the song is a prayer:
“Ruach HaKodesh, come and move. Bind us together in Your truth.”
This is how unity happens—not by structure or strategy alone, but by the Spirit of God. The Ruach HaKodesh is the glue that binds hearts in truth and empowers the Church to reflect heaven on earth.
When we walk in unity, the glory of God is revealed, and the world sees Jesus through us.
Application:
Let your unity be missional. Don’t just preserve peace for comfort—preserve it for witness. Ask God to use your relationships to reveal His glory to your city, your family, your community.
Conclusion: One Body. One Spirit. One Lord.
Paul said in Ephesians 4:4–6:
“There is one body, and one Spirit… One Lord, one faith, one baptism…”
We are not called to walk in isolation. We are called into unity—not as an organizational goal, but as a spiritual mandate from heaven.
“We are ONE—in Yeshua, we have LIFE.” Let that be your declaration.
Let this song be more than something you sing—let it be something you live.
Prayer:
Ruach HaKodesh, come and move.
Tear down every wall of offense and division.
Bind us together in Your truth.
Make us one voice, one body, one Church.
Fill us with the love of Christ, the humility of Christ, and the power of Christ.
We declare today: No more fear. No more strife. In Yeshua, we have LIFE.
Amen.
Call to Action:
This week, take one step toward unity. Speak life. Forgive quickly. Listen deeply. Love boldly. And let the Spirit of God knit us together in perfect peace.
“How good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.” (Psalm 133:1)
There—God commands the blessing. Let’s dwell there. Let’s live there. Amen.

Hey friends—and welcome back to “The Awakening Sound,” where worship, prayer, and the Word come together to draw us into deeper intimacy with God. I’m so glad you’re here today. Whether you’re driving, doing dishes, or sitting with a warm cup of tea——we’re making space right now for the Holy Spirit to speak.
Today’s episode is built around a powerful song from the “Supreme in Christ” album—a song called “Unity in Spirit.”
And I just want to say… this one gets to the heart of what the Church was made for.
[Segment 1 – The Cry for Oneness]
Unity. It’s a word we throw around a lot in church settings. But what does it really mean? Is it just everyone agreeing? Or wearing matching T-shirts on a mission trip? No—unity in the Spirit is deeper. It’s supernatural. It’s sacred.
The lyrics open with this joyful anthem:
“One voice, one body, one church… Yeshua prayed that we’d be one.”
That echoes John 17—Yeshua’s prayer before He went to the cross. Out of all the things He could have prayed for—He cried out to the Father: “Make them one.”
That tells me something: Unity is not optional. It’s part of the Gospel.
It’s not a bonus—it’s the evidence of love. The proof that we’re His disciples.
[Segment 2 – When the Spirit Moves, Walls Fall]
The chorus of the song is a cry:
“Ruach HaKodesh, come and move! Bind us together in Your truth.”
Can I tell you something honest? I’ve been in rooms where the theology was sound, the music was excellent, and the people looked polished—but the Holy Spirit wasn’t moving. You know why?
Because where there is division, the Spirit is grieved.
Where there is pride, bitterness, and unspoken offense, we put up walls that the wind of God won’t blow through.
But when we humble ourselves… when we lay aside our pride like verse two says—
“Now I lay my pride aside, Yeshua, make this heart abide…”
—that’s when the atmosphere shifts.
That’s when reconciliation flows. That’s when miracles happen.
Ephesians 4:3 says, “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
Every. Effort. It’s not convenient. But it’s worth it. Because where there is unity, there is anointing.
[Segment 3 – A Personal Moment]
Let me get real with you.
There was a season in my life where I held onto a grudge. Someone I loved had spoken things that cut deep. We were both believers. Both “mature.” But pride kept us apart for years.
And I remember one night during worship—this same phrase played in a song:
“Bind us together in Your truth…”
I felt the Ruach HaKodesh whisper: “You can’t worship with your mouth and war in your heart.”
It broke me. I wept. And later that week, I reached out. I repented. Not because I was wrong about everything—but because peace matters more than being right.
Beloved, if you feel stuck in your spiritual walk, ask:
“Is there someone I need to forgive?”
“Is there a wall I’ve built that needs to come down?”
[Segment 4 – The Fruit of Unity]
The bridge of the song says:
“No more fear, no more strife. In Yeshua, we have LIFE.”
That’s it. That’s the promise. When we dwell together in unity, Psalm 133 says,
“There the Lord commands the blessing—life forevermore.”
Unity isn’t just about warm fuzzies—it’s about spiritual fruit.
It’s about healing, restoration, and life.
It’s time for the Church to rise—not as scattered voices—but as one sound.
One body. One faith. One Spirit.
[Closing Encouragement + Call to Action]
So today, I want to encourage you:
Don’t just sing Unity in Spirit.
Live it. Choose it. Speak it.
Call someone. Release someone. Lay down your pride. Let God make you an instrument of reconciliation.
Because we’re not just individuals—we are the Body of Christ.
We need each other.
[Prayer]
Ruach HaKodesh…
Come and move.
Bind us together in Your truth.
Break every wall of offense, every root of bitterness.
We surrender our pride, our preferences, our need to be right.
Unite Your Church again—across denominations, generations, and nations.
Make us one. Not just in word, but in love.
Let the world see Yeshua through our unity.
We are ONE—in You, we have LIFE.
Amen.
